Terms and Conditions

The agreement between you and Exist Better. Written to be read rather than skimmed, with the important parts in plain sight.

Version 1.1 · Effective August 2026

Awaiting review by a solicitor. The limit on liability in section 11 is the part most worth their attention.

The short version. Exist Better helps you understand your wellbeing. It is not medical care and it does not replace your doctor. Your Blueprint belongs to you and you can take it and leave whenever you like. Your Blueprint is free: we charge for keeping it alive, and for things you deliberately buy. Practitioners in the directory are independent of us.

Everything below says the same in the detail the law requires. Nothing in the short version overrides the rest.

1 · Who these terms are with

Who we areExist Better, a sole trader business run by Aishling Doyle, registered at 11 Fenton Drive, Stamford, Lincolnshire, PE9 4NN, United Kingdom. There is no company number, because Exist Better is not a limited company.
Contacthello@existbetter.online, for anything at all, including complaints and anything about your information.
Who can use itAdults aged eighteen or over. Exist Better is not designed for children or young people, and we do not knowingly provide it to anybody under eighteen.
AcceptingBy creating a Blueprint you accept these terms. Where they change materially we tell you and give notice before the change takes effect.
What forms part of thisThree further documents are incorporated by reference and form part of the agreement between us: the Privacy Policy, the Medical and Wellbeing Disclaimer, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Accepting these terms means accepting those. Each is published in full and carries its own version and date.
What does notThe Cookie Policy, the AI Transparency Statement, the Community Guidelines, the Accessibility Statement and our Privacy Promise are published for information. They explain what we do rather than placing obligations on you.

2 · What Exist Better is

Exist Better is a wellbeing platform. You answer questions about your life and health, and we produce a Blueprint: an interpretation of what you have told us, drawn from a range of health and wellbeing traditions, with suggestions about where you might begin.

It isA structured way of thinking about your wellbeing. Suggestions you are free to act on or to ignore. Information drawn from several traditions, each labelled with what it rests on. A way to find independent practitioners.
It is notA medical service, a diagnosis, or a substitute for one. A treatment plan or a prescription. A statement that any tradition is proven. A referral, or any comment on an individual practitioner's competence.
It is not watchedThe platform is available at any hour and nobody is monitoring it in real time. It is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

The Medical and Wellbeing Disclaimer sets this out in full and forms part of these terms.

3 · Your Blueprint

It is yoursThe content you provide, and the Blueprint produced from it, belong to you. You may download, export, share or delete any of it at any time.
Our licenceYou grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store your content, process it to produce your Blueprint, and show it back to you. Nothing wider. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not train models on it.
Accuracy depends on youA Blueprint is only as good as what it is given. It cannot know what you have not told it, and it will read you wrongly if the answers are not accurate.
It is kept as it wasEach reading is stored exactly as it was written. A later reading is added alongside it rather than replacing it, so what you read a year from now is what you were actually told.
You can correct itAny part of your Blueprint can be marked as not sounding like you. It is removed, recorded, and not said to you again.

4 · Your account

Every Blueprint belongs to an account, created with your email address. Keep access to that address secure, since anyone who can read your email can reach your Blueprint. Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has access.

Accounts are personal and not to be shared. A Blueprint about two people is useful to neither.

5 · What is free, and what is paid

Your Blueprint is free and stays free. It is not a trial, it does not expire, and nothing is held back from it to make a paid tier look better.

Free accountThe full consultation, your reading, and five Ask Your Blueprint conversations each calendar month. No card, and nothing expires.
Exist Better Blueprint£5.99 a month, or £59.99 a year. Your Blueprint kept alive: reassess whenever life changes, see what moved between readings, and ask without a monthly limit. It renews automatically until you cancel. Payment starts straight away: there is no trial period unless an offer says otherwise.
Programmes£49 each, bought once and kept permanently. Guided audios £9.99. What you buy stays available even if a subscription later ends.
Blueprint Deep Dive£95, bought once. A single session with a practitioner who has read your Blueprint before you arrive. It is not a subscription.
One to one with AishlingCognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, £110 a session, or £300 for three sessions booked together. Mostly online, and in person at the Broad Street Practice in Stamford where that suits you both. Sessions are never included in a membership at any price.
Group coachingBooked and paid for on its own. Nothing about it depends on a membership.
Promotional codesAn offer may give a free period before payment begins. Where it does, the length and what happens afterwards are shown before you are asked for a card, and the offer is subject to the number of places available.
Complimentary accessWe sometimes give access directly, to one named person, for a reason we write down. It has no plan, no card and no renewal, and it may have an end date. It can be withdrawn, and we would tell you.
VATExist Better is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to these prices. If that changes we will tell you before it affects what you pay.
Price changesAt least thirty days' notice before any increase, and never applied to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want it, cancel before it takes effect.
PaymentTaken by Stripe. We never see or hold your card details.
A failed paymentWe try again and tell you. Access pauses rather than your account closing, and nothing is deleted.
CancellingFrom your account page, through Stripe, in two clicks. No retention interview and nobody asking why. Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for rather than stopping the day you cancel. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6 · Ask Your Blueprint, and when we set the limit aside

Ask Your Blueprint answers questions using your own reading. A free account has five conversations each calendar month. Continuing a conversation already open does not count as a new one, and an unfinished conversation counts for nothing.

Where a message suggests somebody is struggling, the platform responds to that first and the monthly limit does not apply for as long as the conversation needs it. We do not tell anybody that this has happened, and we do not record anything about them in order to do it.

What we do keep is a count: that a response of a particular kind happened, and on what day. There is no name attached to it, no message, and no assessment of any person. It exists so we can see how often people need support, and it cannot be traced back to anybody.

7 · The Practitioner Directory

Practitioners are independent professionals, not our employees or agents. We verify identity, qualifications, registrations and insurance before anybody appears, and we re-check annually. That is a verification process, not a guarantee of outcome and not a statement that one practitioner is better than another.

Your contract is with themAny appointment, payment or treatment is a matter between you and the practitioner. We are not party to it.
Nobody pays to appearPractitioners pay nothing for a listing and we take nothing from a booking. Suggestions reflect your Blueprint, never a commercial arrangement.
Sharing is yours to controlNothing reaches a practitioner unless you send it, item by item, and you can withdraw it afterwards.
Tell usIf something goes wrong with a practitioner found here, we want to know. We cannot resolve a clinical complaint, and we can act on our own approval.

Work with Aishling herself is different: those sessions are with Exist Better and these terms cover them, alongside anything agreed with you directly about cancellations and appointments.

8 · Using the platform properly

Do not misuse the service. No attempting to reach other people's information, no reverse engineering or scraping, no reselling or redistributing our content, no impersonation, and nothing unlawful.

Content in the library, the courses and the Knowledge Hub is licensed to you for your own personal use, and remains ours or our contributors'.

9 · When we would close an account

Rarely, and never quietly. We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breach of these terms, for behaviour that puts others at risk, or where the law requires it. We tell you why, and other than in the most serious cases we give you a chance to put it right.

Your information remains exportable for thirty days afterwards.

10 · Availability

We work to keep the platform available and do not promise that it always will be. Planned maintenance is notified in advance. Where an outage means a Blueprint cannot be produced, your answers are held safely and it reaches you when the service returns.

11 · Liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit. Subject to that:

Decisions are yoursExist Better provides information and suggestions. You decide what to act on, and we are not liable for the consequences of decisions you take, including where you follow a suggestion.
PractitionersWe are not liable for the acts, omissions or advice of independent practitioners found through the directory.
Third party contentWhere we link to research, articles or external material, we do not control it and are not responsible for it.
CapOur total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the greater of what you paid us in that period, or one hundred pounds.
Your statutory rightsIf you are a consumer, nothing in this section affects them.

12 · Changes, ownership and law

We tell you directly about material changes to these terms and give reasonable notice. If you do not accept them you may cancel and export everything. Every version is kept and remains readable.

If Exist Better is acquired, merged or invested in, these terms and the Privacy Policy transfer with it. Any new owner must continue to honour them, or give clear notice of legally required changes. You would be told before any transfer of your information, and you would be able to export and delete first.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country and may bring proceedings there.
